It feels like yesterday that I was treading water, trying to simultaneously pay off student loans, credit card debt, pay rent, and help my mother with money. This was all before even considering saving for an emergency fund or investing for my future.
When I finally started researching how to get my financial life in order, it felt like everyone spoke in a language I didn’t understand, and was mainly focused on investing.
I wanted more than just the standard investment advice; I needed help getting organized. I needed help learning how to make better decisions with my money.
Like you, I needed guidance to take back control of my money and use it to live my dream life!

The Capable Wealth Mission
My mission is to help people live better lives. I want to serve individuals of my generation so they can start making smart decisions that will help change their lives, not just for some far-off goal like retirement, but for today, now!
I grew up in a suburb just outside of Albany, NY with my mother and 3 siblings. My mother didn’t have any support while she was raising us, so we lived a life characterized by welfare, food-stamps, moving from apartment to apartment, and not having much more than the bare necessities. By the time I reached 6th grade I was on my 4th elementary school.
As I grew up I learned that with hard work much can be accomplished. But as I started to accomplish my goals, like graduating from a good university, working for a good company, climbing the corporate ladder and earning a high-paying job; I wasn’t making much progress in terms of “building wealth.” I felt like I was on a treadmill.
I was doing a lot of the right things that allowed me to earn a good income, but I just didn’t have strong money management skills that would allow me to build wealth.
Now, after years of education, reading, listening, and course-work, I do have those skills. And I want to share them with you!
I am highly trained in the areas of financial planning and investment management, having earned the Certified Financial Planner™ designation (CFP) as well as the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation (CIMA).
I strongly believe in the positive force that is created from helping others, especially those who are less fortunate. For that reason, I am a member of the FPA (Financial Planning Association) Pro-Bono Committee and work with groups such as Habitat for Humanity, and a number of other organizations committed to providing financial literacy to people in need.
I also co-founded and run a charity golf tournament to help raise awareness and support research in the fight against Cancer and Muscular Dystrophy. This has been near and dear to my heart after losing my mother to breast cancer in 2013.
When I’m not helping clients live better lives you’ll find me playing sports (former college runner), learning new languages, camping/backpacking with friends, and I’ve recently taken up improv. My family and close friends are very important to me, so I spend a lot of time driving around the Northeast to visit them all.
